The Big Night Out rides wave to fun and sun

13 October 2009

Last year the Halloween beasts were unleashed, this year we’re hitting the waves. If you love sand in your toes, loud Hawaiian shirts and bopping beach parties then this is an event not to be missed.

This event’s manager, Roxanne Bennett says everyone will love this year’s relaxed feel.

“It’s a great chance for the whole Karingal family to get together - clients, staff, family, friends and our business and community partners – no matter who you are, if you’re connected to Karingal you’re welcome to come along and party.”

Bay FM’s Laurie and Paula are MC’s the night and along with the ‘Beachy Boys’ (a Beach Boys tribute band) entertainment includes a surfin’ medley by Tim McCallum plus rocking surf classics from Melbourne band Trojan.

“The ‘Money Can’t Buy’ Auction is back with more incredible auction items plus every one has a chance of winning with the ‘Anyone Can Win’ door prizes drawn throughout the night” Roxie said, who confessed she is already crocheting her bikini for the big night.

The Karingal ‘Surf Safari’ Big Night Out is on November 20 at The Arena in North Geelong. For more information email bignightout@karingal.org.au
