Rotary presents top award for effort
13 August 2010
Emily Sinclair was the recipient of this year’s Rotary Club of Highton Pride of Workmanship award for 2010.
The award is presented annually to a Kommercial supported employee who has been nominated by their peers as showing pride in their work.
Kommercial Service Co-ordinator Ryan Gibbons said Emily was nominated for her commitment to work and her willingness to assist fellow workmates.
"We would like to thank Rotary for supporting this award which sees our supported employees recognised for their outstanding efforts," Ryan said.
"Emily should be very proud of what she has achieved."
Nomination boxes are situated at each Kommercial site and supported employees are urged to nominate colleagues for the award.
The Rotary Club of Highton Director of Youth and Vocation Brenton Rudd congratulated Emily and said Rotary was proud to present the award to her.
"This pride of workmanship award is one I am particularly keen on because it’s about pride in the workplace, pride in the eyes of other workers and it’s also about pride in ones self.
"It’s about turning up on time, doing the job well and safely.
"The aspect I really like is that the recipient is nominated by their peers."
Emily said she was very proud to receive the award and thanked co-workers for nominating her.
"I would like to say thank you to Kommercial and everyone here that I work with," she said.
