Riverview bears for Christmas charities
15 December 2010
The Riverview Respite program is hoping that it will be a “Bear-ry Christmas” for those who will receive a hand-knitted bear amongst their Christmas gifts this year.
Program participants have been busy knitting colourful squares and with the assistance of program staff they were hand-stitched together to make a bear.
The soft and cuddly bears all have their own unique personality and have been hand-crafted with lots of love.
The bears will be donated to charities in Geelong to include in their Christmas hampers.
The Riverview Respite program, held each Monday and Thursday, provides an opportunity for those who are elderly and frail to socialise, make new friends and participate in meaningful activities, while carers have some time to themselves.
