Konnections proud of plants
The horticulture team at Konnections hosted staff and participants from disability service provider Kankarma in June.
Joined by Elaine Hall-Foote from the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council, Konnections’ participants were eager to show off both the retail and wholesale horticulture areas.
After the tour and morning tea everyone enjoyed a plant potting exercise.
Konnections is now looking forward to visiting Kankarma’s plant nursery where they will do some winter planting.
Konnections committee meet
The Konnections Client Committee organised an information forum in July, with the aim of delivering information that is interesting and important to clients..
The forum included guest speakers, discussions and presentation sessions.
The guest speakers were Mr Jim Asamakopolous OAM, an advocate for people with disabilities and the State Disability Commissioner, Mr Laurie Harkin.
Both sessions were extremely interesting and informative and all of those in attendance felt the day was most worthwhile. One of the more positive aspects of the day was giving people the opportunity to have their say
