WorkLinks dressed for success
WorkLinks clients now have smart, new embroidered shirts to wear on work experience placements, thanks to a generous donation by Ocean Grove’s West Coast Embroidery.
Thirteen shirts, valued at $450, were donated.
Power to recharge
Electric wheelchair and scooter users can now recharge their batteries, free-of-charge, when they are out-and-about, courtesy of a new scheme.
Many Geelong region municipal service centres, libraries, community centres and neighbourhood houses, and some pharmacies, senior citizens centres and sporting and recreational venues, now boast the distinctive, blue Recharge Point sticker.
To find out more about the scheme or to receive a full list of recharge points in the region, contact the City of Greater Geelong on 03 5272 5272.
Client rises to success
Former Karingal WorkLinks client Mark Isaacs has been named this year’s Rotary Club of East Geelong Trainee of the Year.
After completing the WorkLinks program, Mark secured a full-time job at Fowles Auctions in Altona as a car detailer.
