NDIS update

Karingal is playing an active role in campaigning for a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
As part of this, ARCsupport manager, Jacqui Pierce, has expanded her role and will now co-ordinate Karingal’s participation in the promotion of the NDIS.
The Productivity Commission is currently conducting an inquiry into disability care and support.
The inquiry is examining the costs, benefits and feasibility of a social insurance approach to supporting people with disabilities, their families and carers.
The Commission is currently conducting public consultations as part of its work.
There are a number of ways to participate in this process, including making a formal submission, personal response or presenting at one of the public hearings.
