Life membership awarded to volunteer

Robyn Flewell-Smith was presented with a Karingal Life Membership award at Karingal’s Big Night Out recently.
She received this in recognition of her outstanding service as a volunteer for the organisation for over 20 years.
Robyn has been involved not only with Karingal, but the disability sector for many years, including assisting with the original Karingal Fete.
She was a member of the Residential Services Committee from 1997 to 1999 and participated as a member of the Karingal 50th Anniversary Organising Committee and has provided ten years of continuous service on the Parents and Friends Committee where she has served as President – and is currently the Secretary.
Karingal Chair Cheryl Graham said Robyn was an excellent ambassador for Karingal with her efforts in seeking out new parents to the Karingal community.
“She provides them with a welcoming, positive and instructional induction and overview into Karingal and its services,” she said.
