Hastings House residents move in

17 August 2011

A residence for six people with disabilities has been completed in Hastings, on the Mornington Peninsula with Konnections clients moving in during July.

A house warming was held for the new residents and their families, with more than 40 people attending the special evening.   The evening was a great way for residents and families to get to know each other.

Also in attendance was Marjorie Ross, Vice Chair of the Frankston Peninsula Carers Group, Sharon Brookes from the Department of Human Services and Karingal Life Options General Manager Robyn Bradshaw.

Konnections Manager Sonia Berton said the residents were enjoying their new home and an official naming and opening event would be held later this year.

“Everyone was very impressed with the design of the house and the new furnishings.”
