Frankston NDIS forum a great success
14 June 2011
More than 120 people showed their support for a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) when they attended a forum to discuss the scheme in April.
Deputy National NDIS Campaign Director Kirsten Dean explained to the audience that an NDIS would provide people with disabilities, their families and carers with the care, support therapy and equipment they need, when they need it.
Hosted by Karingal, the audience listened to Konnections’ participant Stacey Edwards speak about her life and how the NDIS would make such a difference.
Joan Edwards, Stacey’s mum, also addressed the forum.
