New residents for Tahara
Four people have made Tahara their new home following its reopening in June.
Tahara, a supported residence run by Karingal, was closed for improvements which included plastering of internal walls, painting and bathroom modifications.
Tahara aims to assist residents to achieve a lifestyle similar to other members of the community.
Brain Injury Awareness Week
The Acquired Brain Injury Expo was held on August 16 as part of Brain Injury Awareness week.
Karingal branch ARCsupport ran the event in conjunction with other organisations including Barwon Health, Best of Care, the Department of Human Services, the Surfcoast Shire and MatchWorks.
The expo aimed to provide current information to the general public and care professionals about acquired brain injury.
