Nikora Employment Consultant Brunswick
How
long have you been with MatchWorks? Almost four
years.
How and why did you become an Employment
Consultant with MatchWorks? I have a background in
providing employment services and have been hooked ever since
I began to impact people's lives since day one (about six
years ago). MatchWorks is one of the highest level employment
service providers of Job Network services in Victoria.
What do you like most about your job? It is
very rewarding. Placing client's with a disability or major
barrier, into employment is very rewarding. I get so chuffed
whenever clients acknowledge that it was my assistance that
got them to where they are now. I believe that if you do this
job properly, you will never have time to be bored!
What attributes do you have that make you
successful at your job? I am passionate about what I do: I
possess the drive to succeed. Additionally I try to exercise
true perception: That every one of my clients is going to be
placed into employment no matter how challenging it may seem.
What has been your biggest achievement since
becoming an Employment Consultant? Just recently I placed
two hearing impaired clients into work, one of whom is from a
non English speaking background.
What tips do you
have for job seekers? Demonstrate persistence, endurance
and resilience. Much of what you need in life will be brought
to you, but what you want, you will have to get for
yourself. |
