Another year of progress

Karingal underwent a year of change and development, as the organisation welcomed a new CEO and farewelled long-serving chief Daryl Starkey.

Daryl's tenure with Karingal finished after 15 years, while new CEO Mike McKinstry took the reins in July.

Barwarre Gardens launches stage 4

Stage 4 of Karingal's Barwarre Gardens Retirement Village was released to the public at an Open Day on Saturday 10 October.  The day was to coincide with the celebrating community theme of this year's Seniors Festival.

Members of the public enjoyed a free BBQ, Devonshire Tea and entertainment while strolling through the display homes and the impressive community centre that was opened last year.

Karingal supports GROW initiative

Community organisations, politicians and business leaders gathered at Karingal Kommercial to promote a new initiative which addresses community disadvantage in the G21 region.

Karingal was one of 19 organisations that signed the G21 Region Opportunities for Work (GROW) agreement which committed them to integrate the GROW philosophy into their own company's values and daily operations.
